Eisenbau Krämer awarded the Innovation Prize for clad offshore pipes

The InnoTech PartnerEvent of the voestalpine steel world was held by voestalpine Grobblech on 5 and 6 June. More than 120 energy experts from over 20 countries met to discuss upstream and downstream matters under the motto  “Innovation and Technology“.

This year's prize for especially successful innovations in the upstream field was awarded to Eisenbau Krämer. The award was in recognition of the company being the first  to meet DWTT (Battelle) requirements for minus 15 °C with metallurgical bonded clad pipes. The offshore pipeline in Australia, with a total length of 15.5 km was manufactured using various bond and clad materials (316L/Alloy625) and has already been delivered to the customer.

For Eisenbau Krämer, this award is further confirmation of how important joint development projects with material suppliers are in order to maintain its position in the world market as a leading quality supplier in the face of rising customer demands.
